Do you need to speak British English for business purposes?
Are you eager to improve your British English listening skills? Are you an actor who needs to master British English? For those who desire to learn British English, we offer British English courses. Even though American English and British English are the same language, why do some people want to study British English? One reason is that learning British English can help you develop stronger bonds with the United Kingdom. For example, people from various parts of most countries (except tiny ones such as Monaco or Liechtenstein) speak in various dialects, depending which part of their country they are from. Whenever they speak, they unconsciously develop feelings of fellowship with those who speak their same dialect. This “native dialect” feeling constitutes a partial expression of who a person is. If you wish to communicate with native speakers smoothly by improving both your British English pronunciation and listening comprehension, now is the time for action. By completing training in all Jingles levels, you can attain a nativelike command of British English pronunciation. |

The chief differences between American English and British English lie in their vowels and suprasegmental features (such as pitch, intonation, and rhythm). While their consonants also vary, it is the vowels and suprasegmentals which constitute the major distinguishing features of the various dialects of American and British English.
Jingles instruction deals first with speech motor skills training designed to foster the development of nativelike muscle utilisation. In the early stages of training, no distinction is made between British English and its offshoots. The acquisition of nativelike pronunciation of a particular dialect commences only after the client reaches the “89-level” of English phonological development.
The native level is defined as the “90-level”. Prior to the client’s reaching the 89-level, dialect distinction training is touched on only peripherally. This is because a proper base has to be established before the final veneering that constitutes the differences between North American and British English can be constructed.
After your pronunciation has been analysed,
your level is determined and your personalised training begins.
