Dear Fellow Earthlings,
If a Jingles client is truly serious, kee should aim for a very beautiful England English, American English, or Australian English allophonome. In general, you see, an Australian can’t sound English — and an American certainly cannot sound English. And the typical English person doesn’t sound either Australian or American unless kee has undergone rigorous training or has, perhaps, spent many years living in either the United States — or Australia — or both of those countries…
It is not a given that one can easily switch such dialects. A single individual cannot be all things, is incapable of doing all things. The person who sets such expectations on kermself is inviting disappointment — or even disaster. We should not try to excel at everything we do. You can’t be the greatest pianist and also the greatest golfer or physicist… We have to be aware of our imitations.
This is not to say we can’t try many things and enjoy them. However, we should focus on a limited number of endeavors in which we hope to excel.
Jingles clients should not take it upon themselves to master all dialects of English . If you speak beautiful English, it will be possible to have it understood anywhere that English is spoken. The same goes for the varieties of all languages.
